Change of Command

After two long years, Lee's time as Company Commander has come to an end. It was a great experience, but BOTH of us were happy to let it come to an end today! Lee will now be working for the Brigade as an Operations Officer. This should be a much deserved "break" from command, no more planning meetings or late night phone calls.

The life of an Army wife

As you know, Lee was deployed to DC in late January. He was home for about 5 days, and then left for Ft. Knox, Kentucky for his Captain's Career Course. He is currently still at Ft. Knox and should be back by this weekend.
I'm not trying to complain, but what a long month it has been!!! When Lee is gone for long periods of time, Grant and I both tend to get a little crabby. God designed two parent families for a reason...
We have been keeping busy with weekly Bible Study, library visits, and trips into DM to run errands. Plus, the weather the last few days has been gorgeous, so we've even gotten some outside play time in! Grant keeps asking when Daddy is going to bring the truck home...and just this morning he was demanding to play with Daddy NOW!
While I am thankful for Lee's job and all that it means, I'm ready for my husband to be home!

Christmas!!!

We had a houseful of company for 9 days straight...I LOVED it!

It started with Mom, Roger, and Grandma Audrey along with Uncle Wade and Aunt Stephanie...and of course, Uncle Matt and Aunt Tiffany!

Grant, of course, got spoiled and became and expert present opener!

Christmas Eve, with Daddy, Uncle Matt, Aunt Tiffany, Unlce Wade, Aunt Stephanie, Mommy, Grant, and Papa (notice ALL the girls are pregnant!!!).

We still weren't done...the Sunday after Christmas we headed to Ames to celebrate with the Vandewater's. Grant decided he was such an "expert opener"that he would help everyone else!
