Whitney!!!

Whitney (Wade and Stephanie's daughter) had her first big adventure away from Mom and Dad last weekend. Wade and Steph were both in a wedding, so Whitney got to stay with us! She was such a good girl! We kept her so busy playing, she didn't have time to miss Mom and Dad...and she slept GREAT!!! We really wanted to play with Owen over the weekend too, but he was stuck home sick, poor little guy :(

Look Ma, no training wheels!

Grant had been practicing without training wheels for a couple weeks. Lee would take them off, let him ride a bit, and then put the training wheels back on. Well, one morning, Grant went out to ride his bike, and the training wheels were off. Lee wasn't home, so I told Grant he'd have to wait for me to come out and help him get started (he needed a push to start riding). Well, a few minutes later, I saw him driving by the window. He had figured out how to start by himself. That day, he just kept getting better and better, so we never put the training wheels back on!

Ok, I know some of you having been waiting A LONG time for these pictures (Aunt Heather) or any update at all (grandmas)! We've been BUSY, and I'll explain all of that later, but here are Grant's tree pictures!

Happy FOURTH birthday, Grant!!!

Our sweet little boy is FOUR years old today!

It's hard to believe that all of the drama and stress involved with him coming into the world was FOUR years ago already. I am so thankful that he is healthy as can be today! You would never guess that he was only 4 lbs 6 oz at birth. Praise the Lord for Grant!!!

Today we celebrated by meeting some friends in town for lunch and cupcakes. When Lee got home we opened a few presents, had dinner (menu planned by Grant), had more cupcakes and played with his new toys.

He got a new cell phone (yes, it's a toy)...Brynna really likes it too.

His birthday dinner...HIS choice. Mac and cheese with hot dogs mixed in and strawberries!

He goes in for his well child visit on Thursday, so I'll be able to post his stats then.

Grant's Likes:
- Wheels on just about ANYTHING
- Driving anything WITH wheels (his bike, trike, the mower, the four-wheeler, the stroller...)
- Lightning McQueen and Mater
- Frog and Froggy
- playing outside
- reading books (usually about wheels or Lightning McQueen)
- candy
- wearing his "work clothes" (Army uniform/Halloween costume)
- new shoes

Grant's dislikes:
- coming in the house
- veggies
- new people and/or situations

These pictures were taken last week BEFORE it got really cold, windy, and rainy...AGAIN! We made a trip to the park, complete with a picnic lunch! It was actually Brynna's first time there.

I think she is MESSIER than Uncle Wade when he was a baby, and that's saying something :)
I still think she's beautiful, however we will only be having spaghetti IF it's bath night!!!

We have been enjoying the nice weather and cherishing every moment together as the deployment seems to be sneaking up quickly!!!
