We spent most of the weekend hanging out with the Vandewaters at the family farm near Hebron, IA. We had fireworks, four wheelers, food and family...what more could you ask for in a holiday weekend?

First zoo trip of the summer!
We took our first zoo trip of the summer last Thursday. Grant LOVES watching the animals and playing at the play place. We bought a zoo pass this year, so we can take two guests with us anytime for free...if anyone is up for a play date, let us know!

Sesame Street Live!!!
We took Grant to see "Sesame Street Live - When Elmo Grows Up" on Friday night. It took him a few minutes to get into it, then he LOVED it! He was up singing and dancing with the best of 'em. Brynna slept through the whole show, except to wake up in time to eat :)
What a way to spend a Friday night :)

Three year old check up and three week weight check.
Grant had his three year old check up today with Dr. Amy. Even though he wasn't very cooperative with the doctor, we did manage to get his height and weight checked. He weighs 36 pounds (85%) and is 41 inches tall (95%)...the height MUST come from the Vandewater side :)
While we were there, I took advantage of the baby scale and weighed Brynna. She is at 7 pounds 11 ounces, so up a full pound from her birth weight in 3 weeks, not bad!!!

Here are a few pictures from the last week...we are having FUN!!!

Grant's THIRD birthday and Mother's Day!
We celebrated Grant's third birthday by inviting a few people over to grill out and a John Deere tractor cake for dessert!
Grant and his tree...over the years.
When Grant was born, we planted an Oak Tree for him. Each year we take his picture next to his tree. It's been really fun watching him and his tree grow and change. Here is a recap...
